One thing I've been doing is to go to Google, type in an item such as Shield nickel and print out what is listed on some of the web sites. And not the entire info but just what I'm interested in. Then take that and put in a 3 ringed binder to make my own book. This could get expensive if a lot of info on one coin is required but say for Shield nickels, not to much is available. Just can't see getting an entire book and only wanting one small piece of info.
Contrary to that I have the entire Red Book series in hard cover editions never opened. Just don't know why either.
