For now ... do nothing to 'improve' the coin ... for sure do not attempt to clean it in any way.

One seller recently unloaded some of these on ebay, most for far less than pennies on the dollar for what a real one would cost. I believe it is most likely another modern fake of what is supposedly a trial strike, just like the ones from ebay.

It is very thick, Normally test strikes would happen on plates with the thickness of the coin.
In Belgium, lead is used for test strikes, to avoid damage to the die.
