I found this coin and it appears to be a 1990 5 pence coin that has been misstruck. I could not find any information on it online and does anyone know anything about this coin? thanks!

Hi greeny7

That 5p is a rare error. Its actually a Broadstrike - a type of error were the coin is struck outside the collar . Well done on finding one ...

I have never seen a 5p like yours , its rare

10p broadstrikes turn up on ebay occasionally and sell for £10-20. I couldnt find any listings for a 5p though.
