Attached are two images of two coins, the obverse and reverse. Sorry about the low quality images. I believe these to be jettons from Nurenberg. The brass colored one appears to be a dolphin type however I cannot identify the other. Can anyone give me a definite answer on types and dates for both of these?
Welcome! It's a jeton type known as a "Venus penny." Nuremberg, copying earlier Low Countries originals. Corrupted arms of Philip the Fair, and a standing Venus figure.
I believe these have been studied by die variety, which could pin them down to date fairly closely. I don't have a copy of the Mitchener text. Here's a similar one that actually bears a date: http://www.inumis.com/vso/V00012/nu...-a19331.html
