dru New Member Canada 27 Posts	Posted 09/18/2014 3:54 pm Ok so from what I understand ..anything BEFORE 1999 should be magnetic ..and anything after shouldnt be? I am using a very strong earth magnet and have a year 2000 nickel that isn't magnetic? or is this common? Report this Post to the Staff

If it's magnetic, it should have a P under the queen's bust (means it;s made from multi-ply-plated steel which is magnetic). If it has no P, it's made of cupro-nickel and it is the common one.
