My husband wanted me to try out coin collecting. He has a small collection of US coins so I wanted to try my hand at foreign coins. I recently picked up a coin that was marked as error. It is blank on one side. I looked up what I could; but, I could not find anything noting the error. I am wondering if someone changed the coin or if it is a real error.

What I found out so far is that it is a Denmark Rigsbank Skilling. I don't know what year it is or if it is worth adding to the start of my collection. Can anyone give me any information (or point me in a direction to research) on the coin pictured? I am still researching what kind of equipment to use to take pictures of coins so they aren't the greatest. I hope they are clear enough.

Thank you for the help!

Fredericus VII D.G. Daniae V.G. Rex
Frederick VII, by the grace of God, King of Denmark, Vandalia, and Gothland
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freder...I_of_Denmark
Reign : 20 January 1848 â€" 15 November 1863
There are only 2 dates 1852 (KM# 754) and 1853 (KM# 756).
The weight should be exact 7.308 gram.
If it is less, the it is worn, if it is correct then it is an error.
Wath are the dimensions? There is a pattern coin with planchet of 1.5mm

Darn, it is 6.7 grams and 2.11 mm. Live and learn. It is still interesting, so I will add it to my starter collection.

Thank you!
