I acquired this from one of our beloved forum friends, a wonderful and very rare 40 nummi from the Kingdom of The Ostrogoths. Like most coins of the Late Roman empire aesthetics was low on the list of priorities when striking coins for the masses. The coin is quite large for a coin minted at the end of the fifth to early sixth centuries.

Kingdom of the Ostrogoths
Rome, Italy (s.493-526 AD)
AE Follis (40 Nummi) 23 mm x 10.19 grams
Obverse: INVICT-A ROMA Helmeted bust of Roma right.
Reverse: She-wolf suckling Romulus and Remus, XL above
Ref: COI 82a, BMC 24 ex. J.C. Collection 2014
Note: Very Rare.
I would also like to note the difficulty in photographing this coin. I think I did well.
