Hey, I got from ebay 2 silver canadian quarters 1949 and 1949, both in my opinion F details cleaned, though the seller advertised them as F-15. I was wondering if I got a good deal.
At the time I bought, the melt value of these coins was $6 and change. Now however, it is about $5.

I paid $3 for them both and $2 for shipping. Would the buy still be considered a good deal?

From the same seller, I bought a 3 cent piece from 1865, nickel in F-12, for $5 and $2 shipping (I forgot to combine shipping) Is that a good deal also? I see blue book value of $10, but that's in 2011.

You're in good shape. Especially for the 3 cent piece, any chance of getting a picture?

A little beat up, but your $ outlay is so small, if you are happy, you're good to go.
