Good afternoon to everybody,
I am new on this forum, just arrived.
I am sure you'll be able to help me to understand better what's the error of this coin, a 5 cents 1929.
I think, looking at the nose of the indian, that could be a double die of the obverse.
What do you think?

Thanks in advance for the help.
Roberto

to CCF. Looks like it may have taken a hit. Does not look like a doubled die to me.Wait for a pro or two to chime in.

Thank for the welcome!

Watching the coin carefully with the magnifier, looks like the shape is exactly the same of the nostril, only forwarded. If it is a hit, It has same angle e curves.
I post a bigger image to help the observation.

Welcome to the CCF, Robert. Excellent pics!

This looks like PMD to me, as well. There are dates in this series that evidence hub doubling on the Indian's profile, but these don't command much of a premium when sold. They are more prominent in higher grades. I recall buying an UNC 1913 with such doubling for about $40 a few years ago.

Good luck with your hunt!
