This is the first circulation coin, in my knowledge, that has a person who is alive on it (other than the Queen of England). Correct me if otherwise.

Quote: Schedules of the exchanges: ... The RCM coin exchanges are a great idea. The last one I attended has lots of interest (line ups!). I told the mint staff they need to run more of these and more frequently.

Oh wow... How did I not think of that... Today I went to the bank and bought a few rolls. I'm so glad to have a coin featuring New Westminster, BC, which is partially a home town for me.

I went to my local bank today, and they did not have a new toonie shipment yet. I asked them if they could contact me when they do, so I can have some loose ones too.

@CC-Ottawa What is an exchange? I can't glean much from a quick search of google or the RCM site.

The mint often holds a coin exchange, where you can go to a kiosk in a mall, or at the mint boutiques, and receive the new coin. If you check the Facebook page under events you will find them listed. FYI this weekend they are doing them at the Vancouver boutique.

On my mint account it shows that my packs were shipped in mid to late October. They still haven't arrived, and it's weird since I live in a very accessible area. Anyone else experiencing the same?
