Enjoyed the photos AlbumAccumulator, and your post makes me ask:.

I'm planning on moving one complete set from various Whitman's, the 9410 and a stack of 9009, 9039 plus a red Library of Coins Vol 7 and 5 - Popular Album E, Wayte Raymond. (last of those ends 1955)

I kind of collect collections when I'm at estate auctions and I need to make one "best" set.

If I find an 8113 Dansco, will I need a second cover for new pages, or will I be able to add 2013 - ? in the same folder. I know from my casino chips that there's a limit and 5 or 6 pages, depending, is the most because of thickness.

I don't collect Proofs (yet?) Have some matte finish which I set aside because they looked different, so for now I'd say, just the regular Jefferson issues and the OPM or OMM varieties.

Looking for suggestions. Two books? Second Vol. starting 2013 and a black page or how do I start out in the right direction?

Thanks PPorro. Dansco recently split the 8113 & 7113 into 2 albums 8113/8114 & 7113/7114 with the ending date 2005 on the 13series and 2006 the starting date on the 14. It looks like there is enough holes in the 7113 to go to 2015 P&D with enough space in the album to add an extra page to go further or anything you find interesting like matte finish, the satin run, SMS, or colorful 60's proofs.

OR you could do as I do. I use Whitman Classic Albums and just keep adding pages. For Jefferson nickels I have all from 38 to present with all Proofs in one Album. Actually in 6 Albums since that is how many sets of those I have. I used to add those rub on date/mint marks from Whitman, but just getting tired of doing that. I put the highest graded ones in set #1 and they get lesser and lesser from set to set.

... until you run out of room.

I added pages to my Dansco albums, but they are a finite thickness; you can only add so many pages.

What I eventually did was create a custom "ultra-modern" Dansco, using some blank cent, nickel, and dime pages. It should carry me for a decade or three.

One of the nicer things about a Whitman Album. Many of the binders are large enough to add many pages. I'm up to 10 pages in all my Lincoln Cent Albums now.

Many pages, but not infinite pages. That was my point.

Like I said, I added pages to my Dansco albums until they were full.

Thanks for the info on Dansco splitting out the nickels into two separate series. Something that they should have done much earlier.

I think that I'm going to do the switch on the cheap, and just buy the album for the 2006's and later and retire the old ones. However I could start again on the pre-2006 coins and see how long it takes me fill it up.

Now I have a bigger project ahead of me, IHC, Liberty nickels, Large Cents and a finally a reason to try to get the Jefferson first series again (circulated not proof). Proof may be a later project.

Now there is no free time for me at all.
