dsfreeworld Pillar of the Community United States 4337 Posts	Posted 10/08/2014 2:10 pm very nice old album toning, no signs of problems I might have to send this one into PCGS and I think they would give a VF30 to it. It's well beyond a VF20 but not quite near a 35. Tough to call but what say you CCF? Report this Post to the Staff

Germanic, how does this stack up against any JR-1s you have in the vault? I do not know if I have seen your posting of this issue. So would any of you place this in a PCGS or would you go with the ANACS fall special at $12.50 a coin? Report this Post to the Staff

It is nicely toned and original, but unfortunately does have a noticeable rim nick quite visible above the cap on the obverse. My guess is it will not grade cleanly. I remember finding a decent JR-2 was not easy, so I am happy to have it as-is. Oh, and I made a mistake - looking at it now, I think it grades lower than your JR-1.
