Found this 1994 P penny, and I'm not sure what kind of error this is? Is it common? Cant find anything similar to it.

That's a die crack, and a pretty good one. Common? Yeah, you'll find them on every year of issue but they certainly add interest to the coin.

It might be considered a Retained Interior Die Break. It depends if there is any vertical displacement within the cracks. I think I see it & then I don't. I got credited with the discovery of the 1994 listed here:

You could take a look and compare. If it looks like the area inside the enclosed crack is slightly higher than the surrounding areas, that would be it. If not, the break hasn't happened quite yet.

I'm sorry, those people are reaching. It's a die crack. It *might* reach the definition of die break, from what I see behind the year. But "Retained Interior Die Break"? That's pomposity. Nothing else. They like the sounds of their own voices.
