Yes, an inexpensive purchase from high volume seller, but if stock photos are used, it should be mentioned in listings. Agree?

What makes you think it's a stock photo?

But there is a listing violation.
"Coins minted before 1980 must show the full front and back of the holder."
Problem is, there's no way to report this violation anymore.

Wouldn't listing a photo with the real TPG number invite counterfiters?

I know it's a stock photo because I bought the coin.

Yes, if the certification # doesn't match the item you received and the listing doesn't say "I have 10 of these, different #s, but all PF68", then it's clearly not as described.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Funny I didn't even realize there was no reverse photo. Maybe they think they are side stepping the stock photo issue by only mentioning it's a PCGS PR68. You'd think they'd know better than that. I won't bang them on the feedback, but will mention stock photo in the comment, and maybe give only 4 stars on the item description.

I agree if its a stock photo it should no doubt be mentioned. But if you are ok with the coin you purchased no harm.

Dang man, who cares...it was $3.25. It cost a lot more to slab it. LOL

Maybe they just sent you the wrong PR68 by mistake?

$3.25? Really not worth your time to worry about the grade being one thing or another.

Funny how things get sidetracked. I could care less about the $3.25. I'm thrilled with the coin. Just thought the stock photo thing, and now that it was mentioned, the no reverse shown of the slab, was worth mentioning. The point of my op was the stock photo thing. But I guess a high volume seller can do what they want...what a surprise.

As dave mentioned, it it possible the wrong coin was sent, but IMO just don't think so, since they don't show reverses of slabs or mention any certification numbers, just generic info.
