It seems that when I add a die pair with a Cud to the web resource, all of a sudden I start finding earlier die states to complete the progression.

There's a method to your madness, then.

If Ladydiz doesn't see this in a day or few, I'll ping her via email. If I forget, ping me. My username (minus the duplicated consonants) at coincommunity.

Yeah, I was definitely thinking it's a Retained Cud.

Thank you very much for the assistance! I always look forward to adding die states such as Ladydiz's 1863 Die Cud.

Indiancentvarieties, you are putting this information out in the public domain where it belongs, making my task as a teacher easier and helping grow the hobby into something accessible to newer collectors. You won't get anything but help from me.

indiancentvarieties, will your book be on IHC's only or on all cents? I ask because I have images of the Cuds I've sold in the past which you would be more than welcome to use, however they are all Lincoln cents.

Thank you very much for the offer, but the book is based on the Indian cent series only. I think I have my plate full with this series alone.
