I have a lot of coins in self-sealing 2x2s that are made by Lighthouse. I have some quite nice pieces in these flips so I worry about the chemicals that might affect the coins long term.

Does anyone else use these flips? How should I proceed?

ive never used adhesive 2x2s nor will I ever... if they are actually valuable you should think about getting them slabbed, or at least use snap cases but I normally use stapled 2x2s from my local coin shop its $2 for 100 and have never had a problem. my buddy once placed a coin wrong in a adhesive 2x2 and wrecked his 1923 AU Peace dollar. thats why I dont use em

EDIT: thanks 0xDA71D sorry little typo, if it was a Morgan dollar he would be a millionaire

You mean Peace dollar? Wow... if it were a Morgan dollar, chances are... it would be worth millions... or it could be a Chinese counterfeit.

As I mentioned in another post, how do you know who made those? Does your 2x2's have a manufacturers name, initials, trademark on them? I know many people purchase 2x2's from lots of different sources, but unless they say who made them on them, how do you know?
IF you really know who made them, it is easy to fine their address and/or phone number. Do that and just ask them what that glue is made from? Is is safe for coins? Have you tested it for coin safety? IF you can't get a real person and a real answer, just don't use them.

Okay, well I've moved my more valuable coins to some airtite coin capsules that I had lying around. That should keep 'em safe.
