I while back I purchased these coins while in Afghanistan. I put them in a drawer and forgot about them. I recently found them again and did some research but can't find them. The big coin I found in silver Eukratides I Tetradrachm but my coin in bronze. The smaller coin looks like it's from Athens but has a vine instead of olive branch it is a Didrachm. I'm not even sure that they are authentic. The person who sold them said that they were found near Kubal and that he bought them and cleaned them himself. Please let me know what you think. Thanks Anthony

My gut feeling is that you have been had.
The large coin seems to be a bronze copy and noting that I wouldn't trust the Athens's Owl either.
While those silver coins from Athens come quite in a variety (so the design itself might be okay), there are tons of forgeries of those around.

But wait for further opinions, there are others which have a detailed knowledge of the Baktrian coinage and/or Greek silver.

The vast majority of coins "for sale in Afghanistan" are, I am sorry to report, fake. Tourist fakes featuring "wrong metals", odd patinas and coins that are simply "too good to be true" are frequently found in the street markets throughout the Middle East and Central Asia. These coins are certainly in that category, I'm afraid.

Sadly, I am forced to agree with Medieval.
Interestingly I have travelled to Afganistan as a tourist, but that was wayyyy back in 1970.
It was much more peaceful then.

Even then, I had a small collection of ancient coins.
