Anyone have any interesting ebay stories? I have two. I ended up buying a coin from a seller that listed in his auction that he self insures his items and doesn't write it on the package because it means "steal me". I'm fine with this, but when I got my package the return address said "XXXXX Rare Coins". Now, If I'm an employ, I would go have this package because it looks uninsured, had no tracking on it, and said RARE COINS. Another time, I got a coin that came with a bunch of fliers to someone's local church. Not sure how that works into coins? Maybe he thinks coin collectors need saving? Maybe because money=root of all evil Anyways, the best part was that I'm in Chicago and his church was somewhere in Georgia. Hmmm...let's say that I'm making the 838 mi and 13 hours 19 mins trek every Sunday.

A lot of sellers in Ukraine or Russia like to send post cards of their cities with packages. At least nobody has tried to save my soul. Maybe I am beyond help I know of nobody in any kind of real numismatic business that would ever put something stupid like "Rare Coins" on a return envelope. Might as well just get a sharpie marker and scrawl out "Coins for postal thieves enclosed" on the envelope.

You guys get all the luck with church flyers. All I got today along with my ebay order was a free 1945 Half Penny.

Was your soul saved with that 1945 Ha'penny? It probably does more for me than a bible banger flyer.

Yes, I got some of those little pamphlets about how the devil will ruin your life. Like a comic book kinda.

I didn't get that one. Mine were just like 4 or 5 different fliers saying pretty much the same thing: where the church's located, service hours, and times. But I could see how the devil could ruin your life...your digging up corpse and stealing their bones, bonedigger. lol

I need to know this seller, I want to buy something from them, so I can get a flyer, or dozen at that, and then send something back.

I really like the ones who package the items with their local newspapers. I'll do it when selling items, use the local news section that is. Strange I know, but interesting, LOL...

I don't have a soul anymore. I sold it to buy an 1884 Sovereign. Have received packaging with Japanese newspaper/magazines. Couldn't read it but the pics of all the electronic gadgets were great fun!
