This is one of the smallest overdates I have found--the "12" is just 1.5mm across. Both shots were done with the same lens, a Nikkor 60mm @ ~1:1, ISO 200, 1/125s. It shows the difference in maximum resolution between a 6mpx D70s and the 36mpx D810--the top image is 100% crop. The 12/1 overdate is much better defined (arrows).
