Found this last night. To bad of the condition but a chance at trying something sooo. DISCLAIMER:Do Not Clean Coins,do as I say not as I do First two pis are as found,then after a tooth brush then 5 mins in acetone then 5 mins in verdi-care. Which one do you think it is,I am have a bit of trouble id-ing it. Thanks for lookin' John1

First, testing is good. It helps keep you from making errors with more expensive items.

BUT

Except as a "curiosity" thing the coin you selected to test on is NOT a good subject.
Why?
It's bi-metal (copper and zinc).
There are VERY few clad coins that merit cleaning.
Most coins that should be considered for cleaning are higher valued and are alloyed (silver, copper & nickel based).
Find yourself some inexpensive copper Lincoln's and do your testing on them.

The results you got from your clad Lincoln test will have little application to alloyed coins.

Whoa, that thing is in horrible condition for only 3 years old.

Personally, I would have skipped acetone and went directly to VC. If you're going to use a brush, do it while the coin is under VC. It will provide good lubrication which will help to avoid scratching.
