All kidding aside, I've always had a fascination with those ancient Greek, Roman, etc. stories. They reveal so much about how Godless societies with very little advanced science tried to explain what they didn't understand. I recall reading a commentary along the lines of "when they could've met, Dido would've been about eighty". I see a difference of several centuries in the other direction (Dido was 9th century BC, Aeneas more like 12th). Report this Post to the Staff
