YN here, I will be in school tomorrow at noon when the 2014 Kennedy sets are released. My lunch period actually coincides with the release time, but I do not trust my school's so-so at best WiFi to place a potentially $200+ order (still not sure how many sets to buy.)

I am thinking about having one of my parents try to get some time at work to place my order, but in the event that they can't, do you think I will be able to get on and buy one when I get home around 3 o'clock?

I am terrified of a situation (Website crashing) like the 2011 Silver Eagle set. Are my concerns valid or will there be plenty of time to order one or two?

Just my opinion, but from what I have been reading on this, and other forums, I think you will be fine if you place your order around 3 o'clock est. I do not see the set selling out in under 3 hours.

I wouldn't worry. From almost all the views of many knowledgeable collector forums, the general opinion seems to be that it would take a while (if at all) for the sets to be completely sold out. But at the very least within a few hours shouldn't be a problem as long as you just want a set for a collection.

I agree with Mister K. Doubt a sellout anytime soon.

They won't sell out. The Mint has defined this as a mint to order set. And they have announced they have one hundred and eighty thousand available.

The bottleneck will be getting your order in shipped and received in time to send off to the TPG for their first day label if that's your game.

I can see time on the coinage presses getting tight towards the end of the year but I'm certain that any order placed in the next several days or even next couple we will not have problems being fulfilled. Just may be later shipping than we would like.

This set is minted to demand. I plan on getting one of these as well and I will order mine tomorrow when there will be less traffic.

Wait can this set be "minted to demand" and also have a mintage limit? I thought it was one or the other.

The mint has a certain number of sets READY to ship. There is no limit on the mintage. It will be minted to demand, as it should be. In the end, the customers will determine the mintage figure for each individual coin.

300,000 Limit. I don't think it will be an issue. Everyone will be able to get one (or more).

As posted in another thread, the 300K limit is in regards to the "packaged" product only. There is no mintage limit to the coins themselves.

Thanks for the correction/clarification, Darth. I think everyone who wants a K13 (blue packaged product) will be able to get one. (I have no idea how much demand there will be for the individual coins, other product configurations, etc?).

Not a problem, guys. I wanted to check out the website for myself to see that the set was indeed limited to 300K. Sometimes the mint has limited mintages. Sometimes the mint has limited products.
