Ok... as we have been teasing for sometime now, we are well into the process of creating a dedicated online coin marketplace. To recap and highlight that will make this truly a numismatic buyer / seller dream come true:

Sellers:
1) Keep 100% of the money you sell your coin for.

2) We do not play favorites with coin grading companies. Self graded coins? You honestly think you have an MS70 coin? Say so. However, keep in mind all buyers will have seven days upon getting their coin(s) to decide if they wish to return them and get a refund. We remind everyone to "buy the coin ... not the holder."

3) Purpose built from the ground up. We have created a process where by uploading and listings coins will be quick and easy. We understand nobody likes data-entry... most of all us. Once a coin type has been added the basic information never needs to be inputed again... just select the coin type, add your specific details and list.

4) No cost to you! You never pay us anything. Regardless if you are listing one coin or 10,000 coins. Regardless if you have two pictures per listing or ten pictures. Regardless if your listings have been up longer then 30 days. We will never ask for or need your credit card number. All we will need is your PayPal email address to send your money to should any of your coins sell.

Buyers:
1) Seven day money back / return promise. We never want any of our buyers to feel "stuck" with a coin that looked fine in 2D images but when it arrived it was less then expected. You have seven days to contact the seller upon taking possession of the coin and return the item for a full refund backed and promised by us (even if the seller does not live up to their agreement).

2) No hidden pricing. The list price is all inclusive. Shipping cost from the same seller will automatically be grouped together... so no need to wait for anyone to "invoice" you. For those sellers who offer free shipping; that too will be automatically figured in.

3) Sellers never see your personal financial information. We will offer two ways to pay. Either via the traditional PayPal interface that is known and trusted or through a quick checkout form that will still use PayPal on the back end to process the transaction and is protected by SSL encryption and e-commernece security that meets or exceeds e-commerence industry standards.

4) Buyers can be Sellers too! Why just buy coins when you can sell them too? In fact all accounts will be both buyer and seller accounts with no fees for either.

Ok... phew... What is new?
We are making very good progress. Check out our videos on FaceBook: thecoindude to see some of what we are doing.

We are looking for about five to ten individuals / businesses that would be willing to help us test our site before we go live. For your help we will offer special perks and the ability to have products already listed and ready to go once we go live. If this interests you and you like to learn more about what we have to offer; send us a message either via CCF, Facebook, or our site: SWCoins.com (just click the ? in the upper left corner)

Sounds likr a good idea, although aside from the no fees part there isn't any propriety in the site. I'm afraid that the popularity of ebay will not translate onto your website unless you have something that really sticks out. Furthermore, due to the fact that ebay is so established possible sellers may avoid the site due to low buyer traffic.

In any case, good luck!

Why only Paypal? And if paying with them the buyer has a return policy of at least 45 days even if your site indicates 7 days.

So how does it make money? Is there a buyer fee?
