First the original text.
Around the rim: "Gott redet alle / diese wort'" and then
"Ich bin der Herr Dein Gott du // sols keine andere Gotter neben // mir haben // ..."

So it starts: "God says all / these words"
"I am the Lord your God you // shall no other gods besides // me have // ..."

Bottom line, it's a version of the ten commandments written in a style and with spellings which point to before WWI.

Postscript:

It certainly does not fit into this forum, made well after the reformation, likely 19th century.

No worries, was just a comment so that it may be moved to that section.
Someone there might know the origin of the medallion.

On the both sides you see the german full text of the Ten Commandments.
on front side "Gott redet alle diese Worte" means god speaks all of these words.

time: aprox. 1740-1770
I found an early description of this medal dated 1772
greets

Methinks 'Petrus' that that is a big ask for someone who is not fluent with German (and the older script as well).

The text on both sides are the ten commandments in German. The exact translation of the above line is "God read these words to all"

Sorry to have to correct you, "redet" is not "read(s)" but "speaks" or as I said before "says" and by the order of the words it's not "these words to all" but "all these words".

Agreed, with me living in Australia it is not obvious that my mother tongue is German, but you living in Austria should have been a good indicator.

Btw, good that you were able to establish the age of the medal - based on the grammar and the script it was clear that it had to be older, but otherwise I had no clue.
