Hi khasil - not a Cud I don't think. I can see some striations in the rolled over material suggesting the burnished material from the edge was pushed into the obverse field. A side shot of the coin would help to confirm that this is not extra material.

The damage by the date looks like PMD. Not sure what the rest of the pics are trying to show,the lettering is normal close to the rim that year.
