English writing on the obverse side reads "Tai-Ching-Ti-Kuo Silver Coin".

I don't know if it's real either. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You will find it listed under Kirin Province, 20 cents, number Y22.2 in the Krause catalogue. NGC database page.

Unfortunately, as you can see from the pic on the NGC page, genuine coins of this type are just as crudely designed as yours is, so just looking at it isn't going to be of much help in verifying authenticity. One quick test for you: does it stick to a magnet? If it does, then it's definitely fake.

My first impression was that it is a fake, but it might just be the picture.

I would just like to mention that this "coin" failed the magnet test. Therefore a fake.
