Got a 1969-D dime in change today. Never seen one before, so I feel like this will be a key date for the clad dimes in the future.

You will probally have more trouble finding a 2009 p or d dime. I'm still looking for the d. I go through so many rolls and I have only found one 2009 nickel and one 2009 dime.

I agree with Bertensgrad. I too have only found 1 '09 dime and 1 '09 nickel. Although I have been looking for a '69 Philly to finish off a circ set for well over a year now.

Got an awesome find today. So I was headed to the bank to drop off some rolled coins, and the teller who knows my coin collecting hobby eagerly said he was hoping to see me. I asked him if he had any good coins, and he pulled out a bag that was FULL of Eisenhower dollar coins. I got real excited, and went through all of them, and then bought the 2 that were in the best shape (1 regular and 1 bicentennial). Another man who made a deposit while I was there saw me looking through them, and he bought 5 for himself, mentioning that those were silver dollars and really rare. I mentioned to him that they weren't silver, but still cool to see since you rarely find Eisenhower dollars in circulation anymore. |

Don't have any good gear with me to post pictures but last Friday I was going through the till at work (as I do every weekend when I bartend) and found a 1943-S nickel. This is about the third one in a year that I've found searching the register. Today I go into the bottle redemption center and turn in $4.30 in cans. I could tell ever before I saw the date and mint-mark that the nickel I got back was silver. 1942-P. Makes me want to buy up nickels all around town. Very coincidental to find two in a week and I'm always searching change.

Maybe a hoarder is cashing in, knowing that the 2009 coins are more plentiful that once thought.

Don't have my good equipment with me to upload a nice picture of it but I found this going through the drawer at work. 1959-D Lincoln that has to be a collection dump of some sort. I don't know if you can technically call a coin I found in circulation "mint-state" but its definitely in pristine shape.   |
