Today I received a 2009D Birth and early childhood Lincoln Cent.

Always nice to get a 2009 dated coin.

Today I received a 1953D Wheat cent.

Yes I am excited and I know there were 700,515,000 minted but it is always a nice surprise to get a Wheat cent in circulation.

This 2010 Canadian penny showed up in my change the other day. Seems to me this used to be far more common when I was a kid. We used to go to Maine a lot more then, and Canadians were a common sight then (license plates AND coins!).

I thought so, too, though I swear coins are as difficult to photograph as minerals!
