Currently the rules prohibit listing items by themselves without them being listed on an external site. I was wondering if you guys would be willing to have a free-sell section where members would be able to list items as a list with prices and pictures instead of making individual listings. This would allow a more editable and easier interface and would enable members to list general information such as payment and shipping as well as whether they accept trades or not only once. This would serve as perhaps a medium for those people who have coins for trade but are looking to perhaps sell them as well (The mods edited posts in the trade section that mentioned selling I believe). This is very similar is nature to the current NGC Money Marketplace ( http://boards.collectors-society.co...t&Board=14). This could also allow "Want to buy" posts. For Example: All other buy/sell/trade rules would remain. Would appreciate some input from moderators/admins/members. Thank you. -zx

No sorry. I got constant requests for years to have what we have now so I spent a LOT of money to have it done from scratch and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Yes, I know. The current system is very useful and is pretty eBay-esque in style (Bets of all it's free ) However, I'm not suggesting you replace the current system. I'm just suggesting that the idea I'm suggesting act as a supplementary system in the form of an attached subforum. I don't think that would be too much strain and I believe that it would be very beneficial. It would also help those who are not actively looking to buy/trade/sell negotiate any transactions. I for one have a few dozen coins that I'm looking to sell (Most in the ~$100-$250 Range) but I will consider trades as well. I just don't list them on my trade list because I get either lowball offers or get offered 10-15 lower-end coins for 1-2 of my nicer coins. If the aforementioned subforum was implemented I, and other members would be able to list items for sale, with prices and pictures, as well as whether or not prices are negotiable and then say if and what we would be willing to trade for (Bullion, Seated coinage, etc.) -zx

The members overwhelmingly wanted centralized feedback, can't be done your way.

The only reason I don't sell is that you can't post pics directly. And I, like a lot of people don't use external cloud space. It just seems you could post a pic of your coin on the selling page like you do on any other page. I would rather give the forum members a shot at some of my coins rather than the hundreds of ads I post on ebay each year. As it is now the system is too cumbersome to post a coin. Just my Two Cents.

Quote: The only reason I don't sell is that you can't post pics directly. And I, like a lot of people don't use external cloud space. It explains how to do it right on the listing form. I can list an item and a promotional post for it in the appropriate forum including uploading a few images, in less than two minutes.

Right but would it be possible to allow posting coins for sale/trade in the sales promotion forum as I mentioned before without them getting removed?

No. I've explained it already.

Thanks Bobby. I guess I'm just dense. The only time I tried to list a "pocket it now" type listing; it led me to believe the image had to be on a separate server.
Oh, and thanks for providing the space.

If you were around back when we had the sales forum, you would understand why we no longer have it.
You would also understand why one needs 250 posts to B/S/T.
