Hi just got these today, don't know if to keep or move them on or just cash them in.

10 $100 bills numbered 70-79 notes are in pretty good condition except the 79 which has a creases in one corner and 2 tiny little cuts right at the bottom of the creases the rest of the notes are very good and clean and crisp.

What are they worth and are they worth keeping.

Thank you in advance.

I'm guessing they would be graded at about "VF".
Auction price is about $140.

In todays financial market a return of 40% is not to be sneezed at.

You can try one of our coin dealers
https://www.google.com.au/search?q=...ers+adelaide
but you would probably only receive just over face value.

Or, you can try ebay, where you will pay a 10% surcharge, plus the PayPal fee.
Again, not much of a profit for you.
But still a lot better than any dealer will offer you.

Due to the poor grading you are between a rock and a hard place.
If you don't need the money for xmas then keep them.

The problem with high face value notes is that inflation eats into their value.
You have $1000 face value from 1991. To just break even they would now have to be worth $1,700. Since they are not worth $1,700 I wouldn't consider them a good investment.
If you like them for your collection, keep them. If not, sell them on ebay. If the other 9 are UNC you would probably get more selling them individually.
(this is just my opinion, not investment advise)

Thanks MOR, Its what I was thinking. I don't want that much they owe me face value so no biggy , If it gets to hard Ill just give em to the bank.

Yes 9 of the notes look pretty darn nice just the one has the corner scrunched where they have shoved it in a draw or something.

I already have 6 of these in my collection different years but I do have cole/frazer ones already just thought these were pretty unique being in order 70-79. Guess I guessed wrong LOL. oh well back to hunting.

And thank you badpenny for your advice as well. I would be very happy with anything over $100 each as that would be a profit. 105-110 would be a win for me. I'm not greedy I don't really care.
