I went the past two years and wished I had more 'play' money, as almost anything I needed could be found. Last year was very busy the first two days; especially the earlier hours. It seemed the last couple of hours each day were a little quieter, and it gave me a chance to look at some tables without the 'sardine can' feeling when it was busy. I plan on going all three days to shop. Hopefully I can find lots of deals so I can nearly finish a few sets.
I will be there all day Sat. and all day Sun. Great Show and always nice to get to drool over a 1913 V nickel and the 1804 Silver dollar at the ANA display. Lots of events happening as well. I know of 5 Seminars, a Boy Scout Merit Badge Class and just a lot of nice people attending.
Well I went yesterday and staid with a buddy for about 3 1/2 hours, then came home. I was going to go back later Friday, but I dozed off on the couch and didn't wake up until after 5:00pm. Anyway, will be going back now to do some more 'hunting'.
I didn't find any 'super' deals yesterday. I did buy 4 Washington quarters (now just 5 left to get) and about 8 Canadian Vickies (nickels and quarters). Due to the crowds, I didn't have the chance to check out many tables.
One thing I found different this year was that everyone had to show ID before getting in; which was totally ok with me. I don't know if this will be a continued event, or if it was just due to the million dollar coins on display.
