I've had this coin for a while but have not been able to ID it. It might be a lost cause based on condition, but I'm hoping someone might be able to ID it.

It close, but the coat of arms are different on both sides. So this is probably 17th century? I'll move it to the World coin section to see if anyone might have more info. Thanks for the info.

Your coin looks like this one in my collection. It is a copper Spanish Netherlands(Brabant) 1710 Liard of Phillip V.

your coin is a liard ( oord in Dutch),made in the Southers Netherlands from about 1620 to 1720 .The different kings made about the same coins , so sometimes it is a little dufficult to identify it .I think this one is from Charles II ( 1665-1700 ) : on one side : crown and three armories (numbers8/11/13) in the middle an instrument to make fire - I don t know the English name - and the legend from 12 o'clock : CAROL.II.D.G.HISP.ET .INDIAR.REX , on the other side armorie nr 1 with legend : 17/.ARCH.AUS.DUX.BURG.BRAB..The legends may differ , it depends of the mint.
To be sure , try to identify one ore more letters of the name on the first side , every king has his collection of armories.
