I have devised a new technique for photographing overdates that lets me study them from many lighting angles and notice things I haven't seen before.

For instance, on this Sweden 1871/61, I now notice the first 1 appears re-engraved (or repunched), as do every digit to some degree.
Of course, the most dramatic digit is the 7/6, where the curves of the 6 show in several places. This is a common one, with no premium.
In many overdates, much of the underlying digits have been polished away, as is the case here.
