Question 1, words with double and triple meanings...

I was talking once about how I was being really "picky" about my small cent collection and I used a word that begins with a and ends in nal. It was automaticly switched to picky. I did not mean to use a bad word and I understand why you have a system to change it and I was wondering if you have a master list of bad words I can look up to familiarsise myself with them.

Question 2, can we not ask questions about past forum members?

I have seen a mattheriley, SPP-Ottawa and another family topic thread all addressing these go missing.

Thank you for your time.

1. Sorry, but making public the list of bad words would kind of defeat the purpose of having a list, in that (a) a primary purpose of the list is to prevent children (and Google) from reading vulgar or offensive things anywhere on this website, and (b) people wanting to cause trouble would simply choose words that they knew weren't on the list. A simple rule-of-thumb: if you'd rather not hear your ten-year-old child use a word, then don't use the word here.

2. In the "member sanctions" section of the Forum Rules, you'll find a prohibition against discussing banned members. Most such discussions about "past forum members" that are deleted, are usually deleted for this reason. The moderators may, if they deem it necessary, send the original asker of the question an e-mail, explaining that the person has actually been banned, rather than simply turned yeti.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
