Good morning,

I'm trying to find a list of 'specific' outside dimensions (the height, width, and length in either centimeters or inches) of 10 oz silver bars from different makers.

I know they vary slightly. Any help in providing 'specific' info would be appreciated.

Thanks folks.. Dan

I have never thought about this, but I suspect that the poured bulk bullion bars have standard dimensions, so that different refiners' bars can be stacked one upon the other.

For the retail struck one two five ten ounce and kilo bars, perhaps the dimensions do not matter as much, because they are often stored in individual plastic packets by their owners, and these packets can have a wide variation in dimensions. These bars are often struck to coin proof standards of finish.

Perhaps the standard dimensions can be found by an international precious metal refiners' association or something similar.

If you wish to persue this information further, I would suggest that one of the internationally recognised refiners be contacted. I feel certain they would help if the person contacted has the information to hand.

I think dimensions will vary from one producer to the next.
The important part is weight and purity.

It would be interesting to see a list of this variation. Perhaps we could provide some dimensions of bars we own.

One of my favorite 1 oz bars are those lil chub amark bars. They look tiny, but are one ounce. APMEX is selling them, but at a high premium.
