Who is going to buy this currency, I hear it is strong and stable. Personally I'd rather invest in D.R Congo francs, at least they look better.

Crap!! I have about 10,000 current-issue rubles in my banknote and coin collection. I guess I should have spent them on silver when in Russia.......

Aye, right now folks in Russia are running to the stores to purchase big ticket appliances before their money becomes worthless. It's mostly due to the price of oil collapsing (their economy really relies upon oil exports) and to make things worse, their national bank just upped the interest rate to 17%. (Can we say "inflation"?) :-(
