First ancient coin I've bought with an owl on it.

I have 2 sets this could belong to. I'm working on a world coin owl set, and also just starting an ancient coin set. Not much direction to the ancient set. Just buying random coins that I like. The owl set I'm working on is just of any and all coins with owls on them. Now I have to decide which binder page to put this one in.

It was $32.

Should I clean it any further? Try to get the verdigris off?

It's supposedly 350-262 BC Greek Athens. Only 13mm 2.33 grams. Not much other info listed with it.

Know anything about it? Grade maybe?

my knowledge on ancient coins is very limited, But it is a cool looking coin. Since your owl collection is started, I would put it with that. You could always take a little picture of it and put it in the binder with the ancients as well. a way to showcase in both binders. I purchased a collection the other day and it has an small bronze coin from ancient Rome in a littleton holder. I think somewhere around 253-423 AD. Cool coin though. My question to you, How many coins are out their with owls on them? lol

Thanks Copperpenny.

There are lots and lots owl coins. I have no idea of the number. Some are just common circulation coins, others are very exotic. So far, I have 3.
