I stumbled across this coin a while ago and never knew where it was from, it seems to be a military occupational type coin that is from World War 2, please correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like most zinc coins are from this period.

Let me know what you think, thanks for your help.
Wishing all a happy holiday!

It is a transport token.
The legend on the bottom picture is:

Left side: "Allgem."
Top: "Berliner"
Right side" "Omnibus"
Bottom: "Akt.Ges."

Which expands to "Allgemeine Berliner Omnibus Aktien Gesellschaft" or in English "General Bus Corporation of Berlin (on shares)".

From the style of the writing, I'll put it more to WWI time.

Here some more information for you.

1. A link to good example of this token http://www.muenzkatalog-online.de/k...nze_832.html

The reverse inscription (your upper picture) reads .2 1/2. / ABO / AG
where ABO and AG are just the initials of the obverse inscription.
The denomination is given as 2 1/2 Pfennig.

2. A (German) Wikipedia entry for the corporation http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allgem...r_Omnibus_AG

On a historical note, the corporation started with horse drawn buses. The corporation was founded in 1868 amd was merged with other transport companies in 1928 to a differently named corporation, that gives a maximum time-frame.
