Is there a way to treat these corrosion spots to prevent spreading to the remainder of these nice coins?

Have you tried acetone?
That might do the trick.
However, if you go that route, be sure to read up on how to use it on coins.

The obverse spot is brown? It looks to be chemical damage rather than corrosion. The reverse looks like a Mint, carbon spot.
