Hello,

to CCF

I would like to see the reverse side also.

As a suggestion try moving the light away from a near perpendicular (90 degree angle of incidence) to a 45 degree incoming light beam; keep the camera in its same position assuming an attempt to modify only one variable at a time.

This should help to eliminate the current white hot spot reflecting back off of the slab's obverse surface.

I have seen some of the other coins you have posted. It would be fun to have you post them all here as you indicated there is a large amount and what you have shown so far is very saleable. If you plan to keep them it would be great fun to show tham to us.

However, if you intend to sell them I think you should be contacting Heratage Auctions or Great collections to get these in an auction. If what you have shown so far is a true representation of the inheritance you should take this collection seriously.

This is going to get complex if we're trying to offer the same advice in four different threads; we have to consolidate somehow or we're going to overload the poor guy.

The 1955-d cent is in a basement slab. The website does not even exist. Unless it truly is a MS-67 Red (unlikely) it is of low value.

These all look to me like rotated dies!

IMHO, the pics need to be rotated 45 degrees ... I'm getting a stiff neck.

to the CCF.

I must have missed the other examples posted in other threads.

Appears that you have some lovely inherited coins ... hopeful that we can help you with them.

My suggestion is to post each coin in it's own thread ... then you will benefit from the best of the CCF expert knowledge.

David

to CCF! Looks like you have inherited a very nice and quite valuable collection.

You might want to check out Numismedia if you haven't already. It should give you are ballpark value of your coins (retail).
http://www.numismedia.com/fmv/fmv.shtml

For example they have a 1925 Peace dollar in MS-67 valued at $4,910.

Keep in mind these are retail values, coin dealers would want to pay less.

Sorry to hear of your brothers passing.

I agree that 1925 Peace dollar is stunning and a really well struck example, at least to my eye.
