The first two are 2008 and the last one is a 1998 zinc and I find that year has a lot of plating issues. Sorry but I can't get a better photo as my camera is limited.
Yes it is common for the years 1997 to around 2001 for the zinc pennies to have pimples. Kind of a deficient plating if you ask me. However the top two look like a light spread out attack of a Struck Through Grease or a worn die.
I have about ten examples of that heavy pimpling on zinc pennies, both sides. I wonder if its small bubbles maybe created by heat or poor zinc quality.
