Hello guys and gals, I just recently got an 1859 N9 cent back from ICCS and it graded MS-64 Red and Brown and I am thinking of selling it, I know it trends at roughly $550 in CCN but that's for full red examples. What can I reallistically expect for it if I sell?
Thanks I advance

These coins are very popular in MS 60 and better (researchers and type set guys both love them) and we generally get 80 per cent of trends or more quite easily. They sell quite fast. Our current inventory shows a pretty empty cupboard. Show us pics ! Hope this helps!

When it comes to copper colour, either red or red/brown or brown, a lot depends on eye appeal. I've seen some nice red/browns that I would choose over a red coin. And I've seen some really ugly red/browns that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot poll. You might be able to establish a "trend" price of between $400-$475 for a red/brown, but depending what it looks like, you might be lucky to get $200. The bottom line is we need to see a picture before any sort of value can be suggested. Hope this helps.
