I have two Chinese coins I would like for someone to help identify. I think they are both the same. They each weigh 1.1 gram and have a diameter of 15 mm. Appear to be brass. Can you identify with Krauss catalog number and offer opinion as to real or fake? Sorry if the orientation is not correct.

Cash coins are the square-holed ones. You are right thatthey are Chinese though - all need to be rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise.

If 'manymore' doesn't come around to tell immediately what they are, I am going to flick through the many pages of China later.

Please see the coin at the bottom of this web page.

Please note that there is a "typo". Instead of "Lin Yun Yi Wen", it should be "Lin Yung Yi Wen".

Actually, I just noticed that there are two "typos".

The correct reading is "Ling Yung Yi Wen".
