Ok got my cheapy microscope in the mail so taking another shot at this SS... under the loupe it looks definitely SS... with microscope, its almost too much information and makes it look less like it.

Holy cow, 13MB pics? No wonder your threads bring my G3 to its' knees.

I'm no specialist with Mercs, but that looks clearly like a rotated overdate to me. What did you get for a scope? That's a nice image for the magnification.

Yeah, it'd be a lot better if you could shoot for smaller filesizes. It'll help to break and stack the obverse and reverse, and there's no reason why images this size can't be saved at a filesize around 1MB. My phone resolves at 2560x1440 and I still have to scroll to see these images.

Oh yeah the first pic, gotcha will do... yeah 3900x1700 is a bit much especially considering how bad the center of focus is when using a loupe

The pics are tremendous, considering how you're getting them. More than good enough to get a fair reading on your coins.

Try 50% magnification, if you can make the adjustment.

BTW- That is RPM-001 S/S/S/S
Grade- between VF-35 to XF-40

I love the microscope, was wondering if I could get more details? I'm in the market for one myself. Thanks

As to that Mint Mark, sure appears to be a RPM but it sure looks odd. Sort of tilted.
