but would it really be bad form to respond here saying if you don't buy it in the next few hours, I plan on clicking the button when I get home?

It's a grey area; obviously we can't "regulate" it. Me personally, I agree with your opinion. Give the poster fair warning you'd like the coin too, allow them dibs for a little bit to contemplate the purchase. No doubt in my mind it's happened here more than once, but generally CCF's membership does the right thing.

Yeah, I really don't see it being an issue most of the time, sorry for cluttering up this thread with semi-off topic, I'm an over-thinker/scenario guy :).

I don't know if it's been cleaned or not, but some of the best here didn't think so, and only one person mentioned it. But just to muddy the waters a bit I did buy a coin from this seller in the past that turned out to be "polished." The good news is that he refunded my money plus some of the grading fees....so at least he's a stand-up guy.

One of the issues here is the darned Best Offer thing. If it was a Buy it Now, there wouldn't be a problem....either buy it or not.

IMO if the coin is still available after a few days, it's fair game again, that's plenty of time for the OP to take care of business.
