I'm no V nickel expert, but it looks in the AU range to me.

It's defintetly NOT MS. But I'll say AU-50 or better. A nice coin for a type set.

I agree it's AU just not sure where to put it.... I want to say AU-55 but I'm not the best at grading these
Edit: After looking on pcgs I would say it's more like AU-58. Not sure about the value so hopefully someone else will.

I think the BIN price is reasonable. If my 7070 wasn't complete I would purchase it.

AU. I'm torn on the surfaces which I've seen before on these, that near-woody thing, but I don't know how far into AU to trust the color. It's a really strongly-struck example of a coin known for weak strikes.
I'd honestly be tempted to pull the trigger at the asking price, just to get it off the market. It appeals to me.

If the trigger is not pulled in the next hour, I may pull it. Fair warning.
Bottom line. It's a nice looking coin.

Please, I just submitted an offer I would respect the coin being left to the one who found it for themselves.

AU.
If I needed one, I would buy it (even for the asking price).

The problem with Liberty-V nickels is the same as with all coins struck in nickel -- trying to figure out whether it's a weak strike or wear. In this case I'm siding with AU rather than a weak MS.
Anything under $50 would be a good price.

I'm not sure you can request information on a coin, then expect that people who might have found the coin anyway, refrain from purchasing or offering on it.
You received input from several that the asking price was fair, if you put a lower offer in and a member here offers asking price hours later, that is reasonable in my opinion.

If we catch someone buying a coin out from under another member who had posted it here for evaluation as a purchase, that person will find themself....unpopular. That's a bush move. Jimbucks obviously plays the game honorably, because that coin is still available.
With that said, it's a chance you have to take when posting a possible purchase here. Some people lack the moral strength to do the right thing.

SD- I agree for the most part, I'm just one of those weird people who over-analyze things. I don't purchase individual coins off of ebay currently, but I do search every night for one specific coin. If someone posted a grading question on it during the day, I would obviously refrain, but would it really be bad form to respond here saying if you don't buy it in the next few hours, I plan on clicking the button when I get home? :P More of a thought game than anything, it would obviously be somewhat unlikely unless you had a long list that you searched every day.
