This is the most worn Norse medal I can recall seeing - a PCGS G-04.

This is indeed a truly worn Norse medal ... and offered for sale by a member of this forum who might choose to remain anonymous.

Given the fact that 1925 Norse Medals carried no legal tender status ... all surviving lowball examples (such as this) must have been carried as pocket pieces by the original owners.

Finding such an example today is a true treasure hunt ... low mintage medal combined with the opportunity for someone to carry the medal in their pocket for many years .... that combination does not occur very often.

During commems tremendous 'Days Of' thread I posted the following Norse ... alas judged to be PCGS FR (details - cleaned).

Heavily-Circulated-Norse-Medal

I have no doubt this Norse has original surfaces ... and will be a part of my next wizards submission.

Truly enjoy the search for these tremendous coins (medals) in honestly circulated state.

At the ANA show in Kansas City in 2005 they had a Norse Medal display with a lot of pocketpiece ones. This was the first time that I had seen one other than on ebay. I currently have an AG03 example in both the Thick and Thin. These medal certainly did stay in a lot of peoples pockets.
