I've been knocking myself out trying to figure this one out . Bought it as a 1920 king George 1 cent . But shows a light punch that I think says quarter on the reverse .It's also very thin compared to a 1 cent piece

1/4 Annas from India have a similar size to Canadian large cents. Looking at the leaves I'll say it is a 1/4 Anna.

To be a little more precise:

1/4 Anna issued by King Georg V between 1912 and 1936.

The legend is a giveaway that this isn't Canadian, the legend used was "George V King Emperor" on Indian coins, there was a different legend used in Canada.
