Not sure if this is the forum software or my computer, but for a few days now I have been getting redirected to a random, non-coin related website that I have never visited before when I click some random links on the forum. I believe my computer is clean, as my antivirus is up to date and this does not happen on any other sites.
Any other instances of this happening? Edited by The Silver Searcher 01/10/2015 6:00 pm

Is it that you need to update your browser? DON'T FALL FOR THEM. I don't know why, but every now and again it happens to me. It's been happening for a couple years now.

I had the same problem. I just cleared my history (cookies and everything), and it has been fine since.
I hope it's a permanent fix, but maybe someone more technologically knowledgeable can chime in.
edit: Maybe this will help for those in the know. The website that it redirects to is Lemode-MGZ.com. Each time that it happened to me the screen has information related to home making or Forbes or other junk.

I think the website has been partially hacked. Same issue last few days and my computer is clean.

Just wanted to add that I was also getting those redirects. But they stopped on their own for some reason

Can you tell us what a partial hack is? I would sure be happy to know...

These redirects are due to specific Google ads. If you can notice and report the ads seen in the page before the redirect, that can help blocking the ads and stopping the issue.

Quote: think the website has been partially hacked. Really? Quote: Same issue last few days and my computer is clean. You know that how? Because some piece of software told you it is? Like Rui said, it's just a rogue Google ad that I need to isolate and ban, but Google usually finds it before me.

Post counts aren't fixed in stone. So Rui is doing 3500 posts a day. He's loquacious.

I know he's our Tech Guy, so maybe those are every single post that has been posted on CCF? Just a theory of my own.

The redirect issue is gone on my computer now. @CC2000, I think this clears up why Rui has an extreme amount of posts. https://goccf.com/t/173954

It's a rogue Google ad. I changed all the ads to text only ads until Google figures out which one it is.

Oh okay. I thought it was something like that as well, but wanted to use my imagination.

Ok, I've switched back. Let me know if it happens again and I'll switch it back again.
