Hello everyone,

What do you think is a good price? I found one coin on ebay for $550. A local coin dealer offer it for about the same price.

Thanks

1882,1883 and 1884 are the three most common dates of Carson City Morgans even in GSA holders those three dates sometimes out number other dates by the thousands. I am not sure what a MS-65 would actually go for now days since I no longer get the grey sheets to tell you a range that dealers pay for that specific date in that specific grade. I am sure someone else on this forum gets the grey sheet and would be happy to post the buy/sell prices in there for you

$550 is a bit high unless it's Prooflike (PL) or Deep Mirror Prooflike (DMPL). You could pick up a PL for $550, but a DMPL will cost between $1500~2000 in MS65. Just about anything in a PCGS holder is overpriced on ebay and the CC Morgans are no exception. I would shop around at shows (if you have any coming up in your area) to find one in the $300~350 range.

I used to have an 1882-CC in DMPL (the deepest mirrors I've seen on a Morgan) which would have gone 65 or 66 ... but that's another story.
